Robert Half Accounts Payable Manager in Statesville, North Carolina

Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join our team located in Statesville, North Carolina. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing a team, managing vendor issues, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records. You will also be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of our internal processes. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team and ensure smooth day-to-day operations

• Identify and resolve vendor issues promptly to maintain strong vendor relationships

• Maintain accurate accounting records, ensuring all data is up-to-date and correct

• Utilize various accounting software systems such as SAP, EIQ, and IBM Thoroughbred for efficient data management

• Oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring all financial obligations are met in a timely manner

• Drive the continuous improvement of internal processes, including the implementation of automation tools where necessary

• Manage customer inquiries, providing prompt and accurate responses

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed

• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and company policies

• Problem-solving and decision making based on financial data and reports. Requirements • Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) in a leadership role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Comprehensive understanding and application of Accounting Functions

• Knowledge and experience in LEED Accounts Payable

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

• Ability to manage and lead a team effectively

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Familiarity with financial regulations and legislation.
