Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene Research Project Coordinator in Staten Island, New York

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT 24-6 Post through December 11, 2024 Research Project Coordinator Salary Grade 12 $47,475.00 - $56,735.00 Full-Time

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated candidate to serve as a Research Project Coordinator in the Infant Development Department. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr Ha Phan and her team to implement a pilot telehealth project that aims to enroll all infants born at Richmond University Medical Center, Staten Island in an on-line developmental screening program to maximize delivery of early intervention services. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a hospital setting, have strong interpersonal skills, and be prepared to interact with families of newborns, hospital personnel and community partners. Excellent organizational and computer skills are required. Prior project coordinator and research experience and/or involvement with developmental screenings are a plus. This is a grant-based full-time position. Duties and Responsibilities: Organize and implement recruitment for our Telehealth Developmental Screening Program by maintaining an on-site presence in the hospital to publicize and promote the program to medical staff and families of newborns and to gain parental consent using proper regulatory procedures. Enter contact information into a secure web application to track participant consents and ensure scheduling and timely transmission of questionnaires to families. Monitor completion of screeners, provision of feedback to families, and distribution of additional screeners as necessary. Maintain contact with participating families by phone and email to ensure continued participation in the program. Coordinate with other team members on recruitment and data management. Attend community events to promote the program and increase recruitment outreach.

Minimum Qualifications: Completion of at least 2 college courses in Psychology/Biomedical/Health Sciences One year of human research experience. At least five years using software packages (including: MS Office, Excel, and Word)

Preferred Qualifications: Bi-lingual in Spanish Bachelor's degree. Prior experience distributing online surveys; managing data; performing public outreach.
