Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry, based in Staten Island, New York. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing customer accounts, processing applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.

• Sustain up-to-date credit records for all customers.

• Handle customer inquiries promptly and effectively.

• Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary actions.

• Proficiently utilize Allscripts and Cerner Technologies for various tasks.

• Implement Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) for effective data communication.

• Utilize EHR System for maintaining electronic health records.

• Leverage Epaces for electronic claims processing.

• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and ensure timely collection.

• Execute appeals process in case of denials or discrepancies.

• Understand and perform benefit functions.

• Oversee billing functions to ensure accurate invoicing.

• Administer claim administration effectively. Requirements • Proficiency in Allscripts, a healthcare information technology solution, is essential.

• Demonstrable experience with Cerner Technologies is required.

• Ability to utilize Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) effectively is necessary.

• Proficient use of EHR SYSTEM for electronic health records management is mandatory.

• Experience with Epaces, the electronic provider assisted claim entry system, is desirable.

• Strong skills in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) are crucial.

• Capable of handling Appeals in a detail oriented and effective manner.

• Experience in performing Benefit Functions in the healthcare industry is required.

• Proficiency in executing Billing Functions accurately and efficiently is necessary.

• Demonstrable ability in Claim Administration within a healthcare setting is essential.
