The Lead Accountant for Radiometer is responsible for ensuring the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting of the assigned legal entities is complete and accurate. This includes, but is not limited to, group reporting, Internal controls, issue resolution, Financial Statements and Taxes, Statistic reporting, leading internal and external audits, and other external reporting needs.

This position is part of the Finance Shared Service located in Stargard, Poland, and will be remote, with the requirement to be on-site a minimum of three times a month, including overnight stay. You will report to the Senior Finance Manager responsible for the Finance Shared Service Record to Report Team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Prepare Financial statements, tax calculations and external reporting ensuring all deadlines are met, consultants issues and questions are resolved and Service Level Agreements are met (areas of responsibility: Internal Group Reporting, Internal Controls process, Financial Statements preparation, Reporting taxes and external statistics)

  • Develop an internal controls, reporting and taxes environment over responsibilities; ensure controls and reports are being driven and implemented.

  • Maintain a good understanding of the full Trial Balance for the assigned legal entities to ensure that account balances are correct and understood, account reconciliations are completed in line with Radiometer requirements, and any issues arising are promptly resolved. Own the balance sheet reviews of the assigned legal entities.

  • Support other process teams within the Finance Shared Service team to resolve any issues relating to the assigned legal entities.

  • Act as the central point of contact for all internal and external audits of he assigned legal entities, including leading the collection of documents required for the audit and the response to audit queries.

  • Maintain strong communication with all business partners, from teams supported by our shared service center to leaders that manage and operate our sites and external consultants. Effectively collaborate with team of employees by focusing on delivering results with good quality and on time.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • +10 years of applicable experience and achievements in finance area (knowledge of accounting rules, IFRS and (US GAAP nice to have), including SOX

    • 3 years experience in Financial Statements preparation and auditing tasks
  • English & Polish language skills enabling both free verbal & written communication.

  • Experience in work with auditors and Tax authorities

  • Advanced user of ERP systems and MS Office with strong presentation skills

​ It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Establishing business relationships while working collaboratively across multiple teams.

  • Deep dive into existing processes and models or build new ones, delivering improved results through new tools/applications and projects to complete optimizations.

  • Experience supporting any other European or Asian countries.
