UTG, Inc. Hospitality Cook in Stanford, Kentucky

One Hospitality Cook needed in Stanford, Kentucky, for temporary, full-time employment to: Develop new menu options; Assist with preparation and organization in the kitchen; Ensure operational standards are met with regard to sanitation codes, food storage, and loss prevention; and Ensure kitchen activities operate in a timely manner. Must have a minimum of high school diploma and two years of experience in each of the following: (i) as chef de partie, sous chef, or head/executive chef; (ii) creating recipes and menu items for catered events; and (iii) managing food purchase, food cost, and inventory control. Hospitality Cook is needed to begin work on 10/01/2024 through 06/30/2025. Hospitality Cook’s work schedule is 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Hospitality Cook will be paid no less than $21.60 per hour, biweekly, by direct deposit. UTG, Inc. will use a single work week as its standard for computing wages due. Overtime hours may vary, depending on the operational needs of the restaurant, and will be paid at $32.40 per hour. The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law. Worker will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). UTG, Inc. will provide on-the-job training on the restaurant’s operational standards, including sanitation codes and laws, food storage, loss prevention, organization core values, as well as on organization standards for purchasing and all technology (i.e., systems for completing monthly inventories) used. UTG, Inc. will provide the Hospitality Cook at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, UTG, Inc. will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, UTG, Inc. will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. The amount for daily subsistence will be at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day, with receipts.
