Essential Job Functions:

Stanford University is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Track and Field Coach specializing in assisting with the horizontal and vertical jumps. This is a twelve-month, full-time, full-benefited position that reports to the Director of Track and Field. You will be directly responsible for administering and/or assisting with the Director in all areas related to the success of the Track and Field program within the Division I intercollegiate program and the policies established by the NCAA, ACC and Stanford University. This is a one-year fixed term position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience coaching men’s and women’s jumps at the college/university level. o A minimum of five years of experience coaching men’s and women’s jumps at the college/university level

  • Comprehensive knowledge of all jumps is required.

  • A passion for coaching and developing student-athletes. o Demonstrated passion for coaching and developing student-athletes.

  • Assess, identify and recruit top student-athletes to compete at Stanford, o Ability to assess, identify, and recruit top student-athletes to compete at Stanford,

  • Ability to help arrange team travel logistics for practices and competitions. o Ability to coordinate team travel logistics for practices and competitions.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, teaching, and interpersonal skills.

  • A history of acting in a manner that is based on integrity.

  • Experience coaching multi-events student-athletes is highly desirable.

  • Ability to (1) respond quickly and effectively to changing trends and circumstances; (2) embrace change and welcome fresh perspectives; (3) learn from past mistakes

  • Knowledge of sprinting techniques is highly desirable

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience is required.

The expected pay for this position is $66,560,000-$75,000 per annum.
