The Stanford Maternal &Child Health Research Institute, within the Department of Pediatrics, is seeking an Assistant Clinical ResearchCoordinator (ACRC). The ACRC will perform administrative support duties related to the collection of clinical data and/or the coordination of clinical studies in maternal and child health.S/he will work under thesupervision oftheprincipalinvestigator and/or studycoordinator/supervisor.TheACRCmayneed toprovideown transportation with theabilityto get to/from other off-site clinics. S/he may be required to work extended or unusual hours, including weeknights and weekends, based on research requirements and business needs.

Duties include:

· Scheduleand/orcallsubjectsforappointments;contactparticipantswithremindersorotherrequirements.

· Prepare,distribute,andprocessquestionnaires.

· Perform clerical dutiesin thepreparation ofregulatorydocuments.Maintain allformsanddocuments,includingconsent forms and master subject logs. File all appropriate correspondence.

· Assist withthescreening,recruiting,andobtainingconsentofstudyparticipants.Reviewmedicalrecordsand/orperform telephone or in-person interviews to gather data, as needed.

· Administer standardstudyquestionnairesandtests, scoretestmeasurementsandquestionnaires,andcodedata for computer entry. Perform quantitative review of forms, tests, and other measurements for completeness and accuracy.

· Extractdatafromsourcedocumentsforresearchstudiesasdirected.Collectdataandcompletecasereportforms.

· Prepare,process,andshipspecimens/samplesaccuratelyunderwell-definedrequirements.

· Orderandmaintainequipmentandsupplies.

· Processstudycompensationpaymentsandthankyouletterstosubjectsupon completionoftrialactivities.Assist withpost- study activities, as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):

Two-yearcollegedegreeandoneyearofrelevantexperienceoranequivalentcombinationofexperience,education,andtraining.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):

Generalknowledgeofmedicalterminology.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

· Frequentlystand,walk,twist,bend,stoop,squatandusefinelight/finegrasping.

· Occasionallysit,reach aboveshoulders,performdesk based computer tasks, useatelephoneand writebyhand,lift,carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.

· Rarelykneel, crawl, climbladders,grasp forcefully, sortandfilepaperwork or parts,rarelylift,carry, push,and pullobjects that weigh 40 pounds or more.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Position mayattimesrequiretheemployeetowork with or bein areas wherehazardous materialsand/or exposureto chemicals, blood, body fluid or tissues and risk of exposure to contagious diseases and infections.

· Mayrequireextended or unusualworkhours,includingweeknightsand weekends, based onresearchrequirementsand business needs.

· Position mayberequired tosupportstudiesthatareconducted at off-siteclinics(within a50-mileradiusofthemain campus).Incumbent will need to provide own transportation with the ability to get to/from these off-site clinics.

Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the University reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs. The pay range for this position working in the California Bay area is $25.48-$31.25.
