Accountant 1382922 A leading university is seeking an Accountant. The successful candidate will analyze accounting transactions and information to summarize the current financial position of each faculty. The ideal candidate has three or more years of experience as an Accountant. The company offers a great work environment! Accountant Pay and Benefits: * Hourly pay: $50/hr * Worksite: Leading university (Stanford, CA 94305 - Hybrid, Must be onsite at least 3-4 days per week during the first 2 weeks and it will be 2 days per week after the training) * W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL * 40 hours/week, 5 Month Assignment Accountant Responsibilities: * Analyze accounting transactions and information to summarize the current financial position of each faculty. * Prepare and present financial reports to assist PIs with funding burn rates, budget allocations, and ongoing monitoring of expenditures, effort, and budget variance. * Oversee, reconcile, and resolve problems relative to complicated accounts * Serve as liaison with PIs, lab staff, and central offices on reporting requirements, sponsored project cost principles, and financial compliance inquiries. * Independently set up new accounts for newly funded sponsored projects and initiate subtasks for internal collaborators when needed. * Review transactions on active awards for allowability and timeliness, confirm accurate sponsor salary cap, set up sub awards, and identify any compliance issues. * Review all notices of award and fund authorizations to ensure that expenditures are charged appropriately and within sponsors, donors, and the university policies and guidelines. Accountant Qualifications: * 3+ years of experience as an Accountant. * Experience in a university setting is preferred. Accountant Shift: * Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (with a one-hour lunch break).
