Robert Half Receptionist in Stamford, Connecticut

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Receptionist in Stamford, Connecticut, in the Non-Profit industry. This role will involve managing the front desk, handling inbound phone calls, scheduling appointments and meetings, and taking messages.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the front desk operations to ensure smooth functioning and a welcoming atmosphere

• Handle inbound phone calls efficiently, providing information and redirecting calls as necessary

• Schedule appointments for various departments, ensuring efficient use of resources

• Coordinate meetings, including booking venues and sending out invites

• Take detailed messages for staff members, ensuring they are passed on in a timely manner

• Utilize your skills in Receptionist Duties, Answering Inbound Calls, and Scheduling to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively

• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times

• Ensure all visitors and callers are handled with courtesy and their inquiries are addressed promptly

• Keep the reception area tidy and stocked with necessary materials

• Contribute to the overall operation of the organization by providing administrative support as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in Receptionist Duties or similar role

• Proficiency in managing and answering inbound calls in a professional manner

• Ability to handle scheduling tasks such as meetings, appointments, and events

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficiency in using office equipment such as photocopier, scanner, and printer

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

• Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, and Outlook

• High school diploma; additional certification in Office Management is a plus

• Excellent customer service skills and courteous phone manner

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Detail-oriented and problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
