Job Title: Brake Press / Laser Operator

Job Description

Set up and operate brake press machines to bend, form, and straighten metal sheets and plates. Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and production schedules to determine specifications, such as material type, size, and thickness. Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet customer specifications and company standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Document production activities and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brake press machines to bend, form, and straighten metal sheets and plates.

• Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and production schedules to determine specifications.

• Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet customer specifications and company standards.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

• Document production activities and maintain accurate records.

Essential Skills

• Ability to set up and run production parts safely and within quality and efficiency expectations using one or more CNC machines comprised of Laser, Turret, Brake Press (manual or robotic).

• Ability to interpret data from manual measurements and make adjustments to processes to achieve dimensional and visual compliance.

• Ability to edit programs at the machine.

• Interpret shop drawings, work packets, and fabrication set-up sheets.

• Ability to use basic measurement tools in the fabrication process including but not limited to tape measures, calipers, etc.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to edit/make modifications to the program.

Work Environment

Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday.

Salary / Pay

Salary position - Weekly pay until direct hire (30 days) with Aerotek Benefits available Day 1.

Salary Range up to $54K - Equivalent hourly starting $18.00 - $26.00 / hr.

Compensation based fairly on resume, experience, skill level with machines and shop tour/interview.

This is a Permanent position based out of Manning, South Carolina.

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $54080.00/yr.
