What is the job about?

Grundfos is looking for a Senior Key Account Manager to join our Industry team.

In this role, your primary responsibility is to advance end user engagement in the Food & Beverage vertical by building comprehensive commercial knowledge of this vertical globally. Your responsibility will involve strategically handling specific key accounts to facilitate effective implementation and create a significant impact on transforming end user engagement within the identified vertical in IND Global as a whole.

This role is remote and can be based anywhere in Belgium, France, or the Netherlands.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to the development strategy of the key accounts, including (but not limited to) collecting industry trends and insights, screening out their targets and priorities, drive/facilitate/contribute to the value proposition development for the specific vertical, etc.

  • Effectively develop and grow selected Key Accounts globally. This means implementing the key account strategy, deep dive analysis and action plan aiming at achieving collaboration at global level heading towards a significant commercial impact.

  • Work closely with a matrix sales organization to be able to focus on both HQ level and local level and be the one point of contact for this customer Group to ensure high customer satisfaction, and good coordination internally.

  • Proactively follow up, analyze & report on Key Accounts and ensure regular internal - external dialogues.

  • Develop knowledge/competency to be able to drive the strategic conversation and value selling dialogue with customers to position Grundfos as a knowledgeable and preferred partner.

  • Steer yearly negotiations with Key Accounts.

  • Monitor and report on pipeline, order intake, sales, profitability across global accounts.

  • Ensure knowledge sharing with the team and take responsibility for own competence development.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure we are perceived as highly customer Centric and collaborative across a variety of Grundfos’ functions and divisions.

Your background:

We imagine that you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business.

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a large international company working in a commercial role.

  • Industry background – good understanding of Food & Beverage industry trends and production processes.

  • Proactiveness and the ability to influence others.

  • Ability to think strategically and tactically.

  • Advanced negotiation & communication skills.

  • Proven stakeholder management skills - across borders and on all levels.

  • Experience working in a matrix organization.

  • Ability to identify and summarize learnings in a structured way.

  • Experience working with CRM and MS office, specifically Excel for analyzing purposes.

  • Ability and willingness to travel locally and internationally (20% of the time).
