Job Title: Food Services Worker

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Food Services Workers to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional meal service to patients in the hospital. We have two openings for shifts from 6am-6:30pm, working three days on and three days off, including some weekends. Additionally, we have one opening for an 8am-4pm shift, focusing on order taking and tray passing/building.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal service to patients, including menu selections, tray assembly, catering rounds, tray delivery and retrieval, and recording of intake and calorie counts.

• Handle special requests and maintain galley and floor stock to ensure efficient nourishment delivery.

• Deliver meals to assigned areas and document meals and calorie intake.

• Round on patients to ensure their dietary needs are met in accordance with departmental expectations.

• Communicate patient diets, meal delivery, and special requests with the patient care team.

• Set up service areas with food, utensils, and garnishments.

• Perform food portioning, serving, sanitation, and assembling patient trays.

• Assist with customer requests and ensure excellent customer service.

Essential Skills

• Experience in food service, cleaning, and hospitality.

• Proficiency in food preparation, tray line, tray building, and customer service.

• Ability to provide customer service in a professional and friendly manner.

• Knowledge of food safety and portion guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to assemble meals according to menu, diet order, and correct protocol.

• Organizational skills to set up and maintain work areas and supplies.

• Capability to clean and sanitize workstations and utensils.

• Skill in using equipment and materials properly and safely.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
