Offensive Assistant Football Coach Athletics Description Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a full-time Offensive Assistant Football Coach with the department of Athletics. This position is considered full-time (.83 FTE/10 months), benefits-eligible, and exempt (salaried). JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Football Coach will possess an ability to coach an offensive position with possible Co-Coordination. The candidate will also have strong organizational skills, proficiency in video, and recruit the best possible student-athletes. Gustavus Adolphus College, a strong liberal arts college, competes in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as an NCAA Division III member. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and implement specific training appropriate to each athlete Recruit and retain academically and athletically qualified student-athletes Meet with prospective student-athletes on and off campus Work closely with and within the guidelines of the Admission office Monitor and evaluate academic performance of student-athletes Effectively communicate and work cooperatively with our coaching staff and athletic department Assist with operational duties for the program, as needed Support and promote the team expectations and vision of the team Demonstrate leadership, sportsmanship and professionalism Additional duties as assigned Maintain knowledge of, and compliance with, NCAA Division III, MIAC and Gustavus Adolphus College governing rules and regulations Prerequisites Minimum Qualifications: College football coordination experience A proven track record of recruiting student-athletes Bachelor s Degree in related field or equivalent experience Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations Proficiency with social media, video editing, Microsoft Office Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Experience with leading strength and conditioning workouts, preferred Application Procedures: To apply for this position, please continue the process on our website, https://gustavus.edu/humanresources/employment to complete the online application and submit your resume.
