Financial Planning and Analysis Manager Finance Description JOB SUMMARY: The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager is primarily responsible for developing and managing the College's annual budget and providing strategic planning financial support. In addition, the individual in the role should focus on creating efficiencies and providing effective analyses to drive accountability in the college's financial processes. Employment Type: Full-time (1.0 FTE), Benefits Eligible, Exempt (Salaried) Salary Range: $70,000-95,000 (dependent upon experience and qualifications) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Budget Create and manage the development of the college-wide budget, collaborating closely with the Controller, President's leadership team, Budget managers and the VP of Finance. Provide ongoing analysis and reporting on budget attainment. Develop, manage and maintain meaningful budget reporting for senior leadership, department leaders and others. Lead the Internal Budget Committee ensuring that the views of representatives from across campus are captured. Manage the technical aspects of the budget within the College's ERP System. Provide education and training on budget methodology, process and system. Financial Analysis Enhance and manage the College's forecasting model. Provide detailed forecasting reports with variance analysis. Lead all financial planning and analysis for strategic projects. Serve as a strategic partner to the VP of Finance and other members of the College's leadership team. Develop models, metrics, reports, charts, and automated operational solutions where feasible. Develop and maintain the College's financial dashboard. Additional: Support the Vice President of Finance in the capital financing process: Identification and assessment of capital funding sources and structures Management of tax-exempt bond issuance process Evaluation of related interest rate hedges Development of financial models to evaluate proposed capital projects Participate on college committees providing business acumen, as requested. Assist with debt management supporting the Vice President of Finance during the capital financing process (greater detail is attached). Provide exemplary service to the role's stakeholders, including both internal and external constituents. All other duties as assigned Prerequisites MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. 5+ years of financial management experience, including knowledge of budget development and management. Comfort dealing with ambiguity and ability to analyze highly complex information. Skilled at developing financial reporting and modeling. Ability to develop and nurture strong collaborative internal and external business relationships and partnerships. Advanced written and oral communication skills. Skilled at organizing projects and seeing them through to completion. Excellent computer skill: ERP systems, planning software, data mining. Able to act independently within the parameters of the position description in all areas of authority and responsibility. Ability to exercise good judgement and decisions in an expeditious manner. Proficient with Google Apps and Microsoft Office possessing the ability to learn upgrades and new programs, as needed. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field. CPA License. Experience working for a non-profit or university environment.
