Description
The Supervisor - Neurodiagnostic is an allied health professional with credentials in a minimum of two END procedures. Responsible for day-to-day leadership including coordinating work direction, staff training, quality monitoring, and policies & procedures for the department. Testing studies include electroencephalograms (EEG), video EEGs, evoked potentials (EP), nerve conduction studies (NCS), and neurophysiological intra-operative monitoring (NIOM)).
Compensation & Benefits
The hourly wage for this opportunity is $39.37/hour to $59.02/hour, with a median wage of $49.19/hour. This position is also eligible for shift differential pay: $1.75/hour for weekend, $2.35/hour for evenings, and $2.35/hour for nights. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees. Primary Job Responsibilities
Coordinates workflow, staff training, quality monitoring, and policies and procedures for the department.
Holds staff accountable for expectations. Addresses performance issues promptly and corrects poor performance.
Conducts early or on-time performance reviews with all staff.
Enables employees to grow and succeed through feedback, instruction, and encouragement.
Sets clear, meaningful, challenging, and attainable individual and group goals and expectations that are aligned with those of the organization.
Actively involved in committees, task forces, meetings and the work of the department or work group.
Provides patient and family focused care that results in high quality diagnostic testing procedures and results.
Conducts tests appropriate to the patient’s medical history, current complaints, and reason for referral.
Analyzes the patient’s test data during the recording, altering testing procedures as needed to obtain complete, valid and interpretable data.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients.
Provides service to patients, families and colleagues that are professional, timely, responsive, courteous, and positive.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college, or hold two or more of registries in EEG, Evoked Potential, or Nerve Conduction Studies, and Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring (CNIM).
Minimum of 5 years clinical experience
CPR certification is required, or must be obtained within 90-days of hire
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated skills in time management, prioritization and communication
Knowledge of patient safety, infection control guidelines, and patient/family-centered care
Excellent customer service skills
Preferred
Graduate from an Accredited END Program
Experience Coordinating Neurodiagnostic Department
Experience working with pediatric and patients with disabilities
