As a Staffing Specialist, you will perform professional level human resource staffing, job classification, and compensation responsibilities to support Department of Revenue management and staff. This position works with a dynamic team of staffing specialists to ensure staffing, job classification, and compensation responsibilities are completed timely, accurately, and in accordance with state statutes, policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.
This position will work with Department of Revenue employees in all stages of their career by administering the New Employee Orientation program to welcome and support to new employees as they transition into their roles at Revenue as well as meet with employees ready for retirement to guide them through the process. This position is eligible for telework to applicants who reside in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, or South Dakota. Telework eligibility is based on the business needs of the unit and is at supervisory discretion. Commuting to the St. Paul office on average 2-3 times per month is expected.

Minimum Qualifications
Two years of Human Resources experience*
*A bachelor's degree in human resource management or a closely related field may substitute for one year of experience
Experience supporting staffing functions such as recruitment and selection, classification, job evaluation or compensation administration
Interpersonal skills sufficient to guide others through difficult issues and problems
Experience with an HRIS (Human Resources Information System) applicant tracking system such as PeopleSoft
Experience handling sensitive, controversial, or confidential information
Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word
Preferred Qualifications
Experience presenting in-person and virtually to groups of all sizes
Experience analyzing and/or recommending compensation decisions
Experience working with diverse populations to promote and enhance diversity, inclusion, and equality
Experience participating in continuous improvement projects
Experience with union/labor contracts related to personnel transactions or vacancy filling
Physical Requirements
Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
Additional Requirements
