Minnesota Management & Budget is looking for a team player to join the Labor Relations team to provide human resources technical support for the Labor Relations Division of Minnesota Management and Budget. The LR Technician is responsible for independently completing complex assignments which may include a variety of job tasks involving case management record maintenance, job audit temporary unit assignment order, processing of leave requests, research for Labor Relations staff, records maintenance, or special reports. The LR Technician is responsible for responding to requests from labor and agency partners and performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience working as a Human Resources Technician or supporting/assisting in a Human Resources Office.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing needs and demands.
Ability to read and comprehend technical information, rules and statutes, and gather relevant information pertinent to assigned duties.
Ability to write, edit and review memos sufficient to provide clear and thorough information to people with varied levels of experience and knowledge.
Ability to solve problems involving interpretation and clarification of requests and providing of appropriate assistance.
Communication skills sufficient to explain requirements and functions of unit programs.
Human relation skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and diverse customers.
Computer skills demonstrating proficiency with word processing, data query applications, spreadsheets, and presentation software such as PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills, sufficient to identify and address priorities, work under pressure and be flexible with changing priorities, and ability to coordinate multiple projects.
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience providing support to human resources staff.
Knowledge of labor contracts and plans.
Experience in taking accurate and thorough notes.
Experience managing and maintaining human resources files.
