Our team is seeking a passionate and ambitious intern willing to work on a variety of projects to improve the places we live, work, and play. The internship is designed to continue your education and give you a broad understanding of life in the consulting engineer industry. You’ll enjoy working on projects that include everything from fast food restaurants to diary digesters to Army Reserve training facilities all the while you learn about building codes and the latest design software. On any given day, you'll:

  • Engage with senior engineers and design professionals for guidance and training.

  • Learn the electrical aspects that go into making a building functional and safe.

  • Learn and apply the software tools that aide in design and drawing production.

  • Model electrical systems in buildings using our design tools including Revit, Visual lighting design, PowerTools for Windows and more.

  • Interact with design professionals in other building design disciplines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in electrical or architectural engineering and have an interest in power distribution and lighting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work in our Roseville, MN office.

  • Completion of Circuits 2 course or program required equivalent.

  • Have completed two years of study towards an applicable degree.

Desired Skills and Experiences:

  • Eagerness to learn.

  • Basic understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.

Our good-faith compensation approach is fair and equitable, and takes into consideration only permissible factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, training, skills, and experience, and geographic location where the work is performed. A salary range for this posting is $24.00/hour-$28.00/hour. The foregoing salary range represents what the company believes, in good-faith, it will pay for the posted opportunity. The individual selected for this role will be evaluated with the compensation factors in mind and placed appropriately.
