The Information Security Analyst (ISA) plays a vital role in protecting the state’s information and systems. In this position, you’ll monitor and analyze system activity, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend solutions to enhance security.
Your primary focus will be identity and access management (IAM). This includes processing user access requests, managing security tools, and collaborating with teams to improve processes for access, authentication, and authorization while ensuring compliance with policies and standards. You will also contribute to the development and maintenance of security guidelines and best practices.
This role spans various security domains, including network security, cryptography, application security, incident management, and disaster recovery planning. You’ll work hands-on with systems and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen security operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Monitor and analyze system logs to identify and resolve security issues.
Manage identity and access requests and ensure proper IAM processes.
Collaborate with teams to review and enhance IAM policies and procedures.
Research, develop, and update security standards and guidelines.
Provide recommendations and technical support to align with security objectives.
Support security operations, incident management, and related activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Position requires a minimum of three (3) years of IT related experience in information security, including identity and access management (IAM) and authentication solutions administration.
Experience must include:
Experience with patching, security technical implementation guides, configuration and upkeep of RSA Linux infrastructure.
Experience reviewing logs, troubleshooting, and implementing fixes.
Experience in working with Windows and Linux operating systems, including troubleshooting and system analysis.
Experience with troubleshooting RSA SecurID and RSA ID Plus used for two factor authentication for network devices.
Experience administering RSA Authentication Manager, including deploying authentication agents, configuring authentication policies, and managing RSA soft tokens, hard tokens, and Yubico YubiKeys.
Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.
A master’s degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor’s degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate’s degree substitutes for one (1) year.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Experience with information security audits, assessment methodologies, and the development of privilege account management strategies.
Experience writing project plans, allocating resources, and establishing priorities in team environments.
Knowledge of compliance requirements, including Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards, data privacy laws, and statewide data protection regulations.
Familiarity with ITIL framework and their application to IT and security operations.
Demonstrated ability to react quickly to security threats, develop response plans, and implement automated response solutions.
