Ever-Green Energy manages and operates Milwaukee Regional Medical Center Thermal (MRMCT), which produces steam and chilled water that heats and cools most of the buildings on the medical center campus. The General Manager will manage all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center Thermal (MRMCT) system as site manager-in-charge. Areas of oversight include production, distribution, customer service, client and community relations, financial budgeting, and budget management. Set and direct achievement of goals and priorities for direct reports and assure goals are established for all staff. Establish policies and procedures for implementation of corporate objectives, client contract obligations and requirements and business requirements. Coordinate all activities with Ever-Green Energy executive-in-charge and home office enterprise services staff. As Ever-Green Energy's local representative, meet all obligations of Operations and Management Agreement. Oversee development and implement training (OJT, cross-functional, etc.) for all staff to ensure operational consistency and good operating practices and professional development of staff. Develop staff to meet objectives for safety, environmental compliance, reliability, efficiency, and control of operating expenses. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in a technical field (mechanical or electrical engineering desirable) with strong technical training in boiler, operations and related areas plus supervisory training or related field. Extensive experience in the operation of energy systems. Broad business and leadership acumen. Demonstrate ability to coordinate operations and maintenance activities and set and achieve goals with a high degree of self-initiation and independence. Ability to work well with others, to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, and to direct and train others. Familiarity with energy systems. Computer skills in word processing spreadsheet, and plant controls applications. Preferred Requirements: MBA Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Oversee, develop, and direct implementation of standards and procedures relating to all aspects of the business. 2. Assist with preparation of expense budgets including energy utilization projections (electric, natural gas, and fuel oil) and manage those budgets to provide effective fiscal controls. 3. Maintain operations in compliance with all regulations (OSHA, environmental, etc.) including working with the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager in facilitating necessary annual training and reporting requirements. 4. Implement training and update procedures to improve operational consistency and effectiveness. 5. Develop and implement plans for improvement of production and distribution facilities (reliability and efficiency) including modification, addition, or replacement of equipment, and changes in operating processes and procedures. 6. Develop effective regulatory compliance and reporting processes. Implement the requirements of the facilities' operating permits. 7. Responsible to and coordinates with all stakeholders of the MRMC facility. Sets and implements goals and priorities for MRMC and manages day-to-day dealings with outside entities and representatives including representatives from the hospital facilities management. Have a ready-to-implement emergency response and notification plan in place with routine contact updates. 8. Support the operation and maintenance of the MRMC campus water and sewer systems with purchasing, maintenance management system, and technical support. 9. Maintain outine contact with client representative(s) on technical and financial matters.
