Job Summary: The primary function is to manage all aspects of client education to serve prospective clients, relative/kinship, and foster and adoptive families interested in providing care and permanency to children & youth in out-of-home placement. This position is partially or fully dependent on grant funding. Qualifications and Requirements: Master's Degree in Social Work (preferred) - OR - Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years of related experience; 1-3 years of supervisory experience for child welfare or program management preferred; Program development experience preferred; Knowledgeable & Sensitivity to African- American community is required; Strong Understanding of Child Protection, and licensing preferred; Strong ability to work independently, using initiative, discretion and good judgment; Ability to communicate well using verbal and written methods; Ability to apply critical and strategic thinking to problem solve complex matters of concern; Ability to interpret agency policy, state and federal licensing requirements, and other regulations in the development, management, and administrative oversight of adoption programs; Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Valid drivers' license preferred (insurance, reliable vehicle and be insurable under agency policy); Ability to work with and advocate for all clients served, regardless of race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or family type.
