We're Looking For:
A keen eye for detail and strong editing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
Experience with Chicago Manual of Style and AP Style Guide
Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Customer service orientation and excellent communication skills
This position is responsible for providing copyediting on reports and other written project deliverables, website and SharePoint site maintenance, document preparation services, marketing support, and other general office services to the staff consultants and clients of Management Analysis and Development (MAD). MAD is a unique business housed in state government, dedicated to supporting and strengthening public sector organizations. What you'll do:
Provide writing and copyediting services to MAD staff so that materials and reports are presented to clients in readable, attractive, professional formats, fitting all MAD specifications and complying with accessibility standards.
Provide word- and data-processing services to MAD’s consultants and managers to support client projects.
Design, publish, and maintain MAD’s website and internal SharePoint site(s).
Meet with consultants to determine project documentation needs, timelines, and priorities.
Proactively engage with consultants when timelines change or project deadlines intersect, identifying options to ensure that documents meet the needs of clients.
Support MAD’s marketing efforts by preparing newsletters and content for website, updating marketing materials, and maintaining email distribution lists.

Minimum Qualifications:
Proficient editing skills for word usage and clarity, correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Typing/keyboarding skills sufficient to enter data into a computer system in a timely manner.
Customer service skills sufficient to interact with others in a courteous and professional manner.
Word processing skills sufficient to format and edit documents.
Communication skills sufficient to provide clear and helpful explanations and answers to consultant and client inquiries.
Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and other software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat’s PDF format.
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years of related experience (such as office assistant, proofreader, marketing assistant, communications assistant, research assistant).
Layout and design skills necessary to ensure materials are presented to clients in an attractive, professional and accessible fashion and are free of typographical errors.
Experience with SDL Tridion and website management.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Experience with newsletter platforms (GovDelivery).
Experience with accessibility remediation guidelines and tools, including CommonLook
Experience with online meeting platforms and tools, such as Microsoft Teams, Mural, Padlet.
Ability to format documents following pre-determined guidelines/standards and edit documents/reports following the Chicago Manual of Style, AP Style Guide, and document accessibility guidelines.
Ability to work under pressure to meet timelines by managing multiple tasks and setting priorities.
