This position exists to provide case management of the Board’s compliance/disciplinary unit to ensure appropriate and efficient handling of cases in the Board’s Investigative, Complaint Resolution, HPSP and Compliance Programs. This position also provides detailed procedural program information and services to external stakeholders, including citizens, licensees, and all members of the general public. This position serves as the primary point of contact with the Board with respect to complaint, investigative, and compliance matters and is responsible for complaint intake and case management services.
This position requires the incumbent to explain procedures and guidelines for complaint submission and to assist external customers, such as licensees and their attorneys towards compliance with the Board’s Psychology Practice Act. This position works directly with the public to answers questions and provides guidance to the public and licensees as the Board’s first line of contact in complaint matters both in-person and by telephone. This position is expected to analyze requests for information on the Board’s Rules of Conduct, ethics concerns, investigative, complaint resolution, and compliance processes, and to prepare clear and concise responses both orally and in writing, as required. This position supports the work of the Complaint Resolution Committee (CRC) and Investigator Senior in requesting, collecting, and preparing materials for the Board's CRC meetings.
Minimum Qualifications

One year of experience in one or more of the following areas: analytical writing, case management, legal writing, regulatory compliance or investigation.
Legal and technical knowledge sufficient to interpret and apply statutes and administrative rules.
Analytical skills and the ability to discern relevant facts, determine what information is missing, organize diverse facts and materials into logical, cohesive summaries and reports.
Communications skills sufficient to write clear and concise correspondence and draft legal notices and orders.
Customer service skills to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through e-mail and other written correspondence and effectively communicate and elicit information with tact and diplomacy.
Skills to effectively use word processing software applications such as Microsoft Word to construct correspondence, memos, and reports.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of confidential and private information according to law, rules, policies, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the Minnesota Board of Psychology Data Practice Act and applicable statutes and rules.
Knowledge of the Minnesota Government Data Practices and Open Meeting Law.
Organizational skills and the ability to handle daily multiple responsibilities including managing multiple cases in various stages of review.
Ability to handle frequent interruptions and demands from internal and external customers.
