Job Summary This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating professional program administration for DEED's state and federally funded broadband grant projects. Key duties include providing consultation, training, and technical guidance, as well as ensuring compliance with state and federal permitting laws and regulations. The role involves collaborating with agencies such as Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), State Historical Preservation Office (SHPO), Office of State Archeologist (OSA), Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and Tribal Historic Preservation Offices. The position will provide coordination and technical assistance to consultants, project leaders, and staff, while also developing and conducting training sessions on program administration. Additionally, the incumbent will review project submittals, participate in project consultation meetings, and make recommendations on eligibility and compliance with federal and state requirements for broadband projects funded through Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) and state Border to Border programs. This position is telework eligible and is occasionally required to be on-site at an office listed below and DEED Headquarters - St. Paul. Staff are provided with the tools and equipment to be successful in a virtual work environment and may telework from anywhere in Minnesota or a neighboring state.
