The Accounting Officer Intermediate with MNsure will maintain and control assigned Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT) fiscal modules for billing, commitment control and accounting. This position will maintain and control fiscal processes, generate and analyze fiscal data, reconcile accounts, and provide technical assistance as needed. This position will also maintain and control assigned MNsure internal financial systems and will establish and maintain reporting in compliance with federal, state, and department and division requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Maintain and control fiscal components of the Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT) accounting system managed by the Financial Operations Division
Maintain and control fiscal processes
Generate and analyze fiscal data
Reconcile accounts
Produce written materials
Provide technical assistance
Represent Financial Operations in meetings
Respond to audit requests
Maintain and control subsidiary fiscal systems used by the accounting department
Develop and produce financial reports
Minimum Qualifications
One (1) year of expert experience in accounting along with the below listed work experiences.
OR
Three (3) years of advanced technical or paraprofessional experience assisting with accounting functions along with the below listed work experiences.
OR
Bachelor's Degree in accounting or another related field and two (2) years of advanced technical or paraprofessional experience assisting with accounting functions along with the below listed work experiences
Must demonstrate the following work experiences:
Account reconciliation
Project reporting
Fiscal data analysis
Fiscal process maintenance
Financial report development
Preferred Qualifications
Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field.
5 years of career experience in accounting.
Experience with online financial, procurement, and reporting systems.
