School Resource Officer (SRO) Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with students, staff, and the community
- Respond to calls by school/district personnel to assist and investigate violations of state laws and school rules and regulations
- Monitor the hallways, classrooms, common areas, and other surrounding areas of the school to ensure safety
- Prepare and submit incident reports
- Provide education on safety issues
- Provide guidance on citizenship for students
- Work with the District Safety team to develop and implement safety protocols
- Serve as a positive role model for students
- Work with the School Principals and District Superintendent to optimize relationships with staff, students, and family; and to optimize a safe and secure school setting.
