If so, we want you to join our team and help seniors Age Magnificently! The Vice President, Operations - Senior Living is responsible to lead and support operations in senior Living. These operations include the execution of the culture and service model for all residents and includes financial, operational and employee oversight in the senior living communities we manage. The Vice President, Operations will oversee the Regional Directors of Operations, Corporate Culinary Director, Corporate Maintenance Director, Float Executive Director to achieve goals for occupancy, financial performance, achievement of target resident engagement/outcomes, workforce development, talent management, and key stakeholder relationship management/satisfaction. The VP of Operations is an integral member of the Senior Living executive team and works in collaboration with Lifespark shared services (IT/HR/Marketing/CORE/Pop Health) as well with the Senior Director of Sales, VP of Clinical Services, Senior Director of Revenue Cycle, VP of Finance - Senior Living, HR Director of Senior Living, Director of Culture Engagement, Director of Quality and the new Development Division Director. The VP, Operations works in conjunction with the SVP of Operations to meet with owners and support the overall vision and strategy for Lifespark. Position Functions and Responsibilities: Ensure adherence to standards for culture and customer services as set by the organization. Lead and implement resident-service expectations including service-recovery activities. Ensure all culture and service protocols and targets are being implemented consistently. Seek opportunities for improvement and shares with leadership. Facilitate the development of budgets along with the VP of Finance - Senior Living; oversees systems and process to exceed budget expectations. Meet or exceed financial targets by ensuring accurate capture of all revenues and effective cost management. Ensure compliance with staffing model and assures necessary adjustments to achieve outcomes. Prevent and manage potential risks to the company including employee/client injuries, accounts receivables, and both internal and external complaints. Ensure integrity of Client Billing and Accounts Receivable. Ensure revenue targets are met and service and rent pricing reflect marketplace. Recruitment Work with Talent in recruiting for key operational positions. Assist with building bench strength for staff, including identifying career paths for individuals and specific function roles. Support Pipeline work to continue to develop new leaders as well as to assure opportunities for new team members to joi the organization. Orientation and Onboarding Develop plans for and ensure quality onboarding and training support is occurring for operational leadership positions. Work in conjunction with the HR Business Partners and Division leaders to assure strong retention of all team members. Retention/Personnel Management Supervise and lead Regional Directors of Operations in meeting all company goals. Provide ongoing support, coaching, and mentoring for all direct reports and oversee their responsibility to these efforts with site leadership. Facilitate and document regular direct-report 1:1 meeting. Provide and lead professional-development opportunities for team members. Lead overall workplace safety activities including safety initiatives and training and worker's compensation program management. Regulatory Quality and Compliance Participate in the quality management program. Work with and oversee operational reports to the corporate quality and compliance department on QAPI initiatives and monitors compliance for the campus teams. Event Management Reporting Ensure all event report sign-off, follow-up and management to ensure process and follow-up actions are in place. Overall Workplace Safety Ensure overall company safety initiatives and all reporting and documenting protocols are followed at sites. Seek opportunities to improve safety and working conditions and sends recommendations to the Lifespark safety committee. Leadership Lead operational team to assist with driving overall workplace culture. Provide ongoing support, coaching, and mentoring for all team members. Follow and implement Lifespark expectations for courageous conversations, honesty and integrity, transparency, and good intentions. Participate in strategic planning sessions and the implementation of key initiatives. Collaborate with the executive management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the organization. Oversee senior living operations, manage employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met. Knowledge Management Responsible to understand and have working knowledge of all applicable rules and regulations that support senior living operations. Vendor Management Lead vendor selection to support operations (culinary, environmental, medical supplies, pharmacy providers, foot care, screening tools, training programs, hazardous waste disposal, etc.) Ensure accurate systems are in place for Invoice verification, coding, and submission to accounting. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: Education College degree in healthcare or related field as well as minimum of 8 years of experience serving in a leadership role in home or community-based services for seniors (assisted living, home care, hospice, public health, long-term care). A master's in healthcare or a related field is preferred. Preferred Licensed nursing home administrator and the ability to become licensed assisted living director in accordance with Assisted Living Licensure law in MN Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Multi-site oversight experience preferred. Experience with skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living for seniors as well as for profit, nonprofit and 3rd party management is preferred. Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families and employees. Proficient with technology and applications/devices such as Microsoft Office, a smart phone, calendaring, Wi-Fi, EMR, CRM, etc Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance. Ability to travel throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin 20% to 40% of time. The position is hybrid with office and remote work.
