HDR is seeking a Stormwater Business Class Lead to support our expanding market within our Minnesota & Wisconsin Area. This is a leadership role that involves project management, business development, supervision, as well as planning, organizing, and coordinating the work of entry and mid-level professionals. This role is responsible for identifying and executing, with teams of staff, the multiple HDR services needed by municipal and utility operated stormwater programs throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. Primary Responsibilities: Take responsibility for area coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers, all within direction and goals of business class plans. Collaborate on business class efforts with area operations, marketing and project management. Participate in business class practice and professional discipline groups, project teams and activities to continually improve standards and best practices, and implement effective quality assurance and quality control reviews. Participate in business class strategic planning, budgeting and plan implementation. Participate in delivery of project services to meet client expectations. Lead the technical delivery and utilization of business class staff. Participate in work-sharing with regional and national groups and subject matter experts. Engage in supporting development of technical scope of works and fee proposals, as well as responses to RFP's related to Stormwater services. Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design of drainage and stormwater management projects such as: Site drainage Storm sewers Erosion control Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) Best management practices (BMPs) for water quality treatment Low Impact Development (LID) Applying hydrologic and stormwater/ drainage modeling Organizing and disseminating industry best practices to project teams and business class staff. Exhibit excellent communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients and the demonstrate expertise in managing several complex tasks simultaneously. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience with GSI design and LID. Be knowledgeable of current technical standards as well as local and regional stormwater regulations and manuals. Experience with hydrology, hydraulic/drainage design, and stormwater facility design software. Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand. *LI-BC1 Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field 10 years of experience Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience experienced in development and management of diverse teams Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
