Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Project Accountant to join our team in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. As a significant contributor within the construction and contracting industry, you will play a crucial role in providing prevailing wage reporting support to multiple teams overseeing construction projects. Responsibilities: • Serve as a liaison between the finance department and project teams • Review construction contract requirements for assigned projects and attend project kickoff meetings to ensure alignment on requirements with the project team • Handle weekly reporting in accordance with contract requirements • Oversee the tracking of payment shortfalls as per the contract terms • Support contractually required monitoring by third parties as stipulated by the contract • Audit the setup of LCP Tracker, ensuring project settings and wage determination data are accurate • Process weekly payroll reports in LCP Tracker, ensuring data accuracy and completeness • Collaborate with project teams and payroll to resolve any payment issues • Review apprentice data to ensure accurate payment and classification, and elevate awareness of financial implications • Generate reports from LCP Tracker to support customer billing requirements such as weekly payroll and apprentice reports • Answer general questions on prevailing wage or LCP Tracker and represent the organization's best interests when interacting with project auditors • Assist with annual and special audits as necessary • Review team member setups and timecard reports prior to processing Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential • Strong understanding of Accounting Functions is crucial • Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is required • Mastery in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is expected • Experience in Auditing is vital • Familiarity with Prevailing Wage is preferred
