Aston Carter Deductions Specialist in St. Louis Park, Minnesota

Job Title: Deductions Specialist

Job Description

  • Secure and organize deduction backup from customers via website, email, or phone.

  • Match authorized deductions to planned promotions and submit repayment for unauthorized claims.

  • Research and resolve all types of deductions including promotional chargebacks, damages, and shortages.

  • Ensure accurate General Ledger account coding in collaboration with Accounting and Trade Marketing.

  • Coordinate with Trade Marketing to utilize Promotional Calendars for accurate deduction application.

  • Research, summarize, and present facts in writing and verbally to customers and internal sales teams to dispute and collect unauthorized deductions.

  • Resolve any deduction regardless of the line of business to support a centralized team structure.

  • Identify ways to improve consistency and streamline processes, and develop documentation for training purposes.

  • Maintain and improve internal business partnerships with Sales, Trade Marketing, and Finance.

  • Coordinate and participate in recurring business reviews with Sales and Trade to share information related to the deduction management process.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 1+ years of experience in accounting or business administration.

  • Knowledge of general accounting concepts and practices with a focus on Accounts Receivable.

  • Proficiency in Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00
