If you are an Accounting professional, Copeland in St. Louis, MO has an exciting opportunity for you! You will be responsible for reviewing elimination/consolidation entries related to income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements. You will utilize account analysis files and reconciliations to perform the review. The role includes utilizing the consolidation system - HFM (Hyperion Financial Management).

This position will report to the Senior Manager of Global Consolidations and Finance Systems. The role will also work closely with the following teams: HFM Administrators, External Reporting, Tax, and Technical Accounting teams during the month-end close, consolidation, and reporting processes.

As a Senior Accountant - Consolidations, You Will:

  • Lead Accountant for the global consolidations review process.

  • Lead month-end close procedures, analyze intercompany eliminations, and work closely with business units as needed based on analysis and reconciliations.

  • Be knowledgeable regarding consolidation issues including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.

  • Ensure complete and accurate financial data in the consolidation process.

  • Prepare certain consolidated account reconciliations.

  • Lead preparing reports to support internal reporting packages to leaders and executives utilizing HFM and other reporting systems.

  • Work with other Enterprise teams to achieve the Company’s Finance transformation goals.

  • Lead all other accounting activities such as ad hoc analysis.

  • Fully support Company goals to drive continuous improvement and operational enhancements as necessary to support a standardized global financial consolidation process.

  • Consistently be aware of opportunities for process efficiencies and improvements.

  • Lead ad-hoc requests as needed in coordination with other finance departments

  • Work to achieve goals set annually for continual professional development.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field and a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience showing progression in responsibilities.

  • Experience in financial consolidations is required and experience with financial systems administration and maintenance is preferred.

  • Advanced MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Team collaborator: Ability to work with multiple team members and groups to improve the overall close process and assist in streamlining the close process.

  • Drives Continuous Improvement: Experience driving process improvements.

  • Business Acumen: Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills, and detail orientation.

  • Communication/ Presence: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Effectively interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management.

  • Pace and Complexity: Ability to work independently in a complex, fast-paced environment. Meets deadlines, multi-tasks efficiently, and manages individuals effectively.​

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Experience working for a public, multi-national organization

  • CPA

  • HFM and/or Oracle experience

  • Experience working in or with external reporting or FP&A and management reporting

Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
