The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for growth and expansion of direct and reseller sales within assigned region. Establishes professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts. Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars and will be located remote.
This is a unique opportunity to develop the overall business in packaging, commercial print, ink and dealer market segments to ensure sales and financial targets are met. The Southwest territory includes the following states: TX, MO, OK, AR, LA, KS, CO and NM.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Achieve annual sales targets for Southwest Region with execution of sales plans to achieve year over year growth.
Identify prospective customers, interpret their needs, understand their workflow, and provide solutions and assistance with X-Rite’s products and services.
Responsible for executing solution-based selling to all market segments across the entire product offering. Engaging daily with Salesforce.com and other tools provide by the company to update customer records and profiles, record activity, provide forecasts, and process opportunities through the sales stages and record key account plans. Responsible for the prompt distribution and follow-up on X-Rite generated sales leads. Responsible for completing all reports and documentation required by X-Rite.
Responsible for preparing and presenting solution proposals, quotations, and bids. Negotiating and closing orders for X-Rite solutions and services at optimum prices and associated terms and conditions.
Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with all customers and maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction and confidence for our companies. Assist as needed in the expediting of orders to maintain positive customer relationships.
Handle, maintain and sell an inventory of X-Rite evaluation equipment and demonstration instruments.
Travel: 40-60% within the assigned territory.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field (preferred)
8+ years of related sales experience in the printing consumables, ink, printing plates, or color management related markets.
Must have a strong understanding of color management process, tools and software.
Knowledge of workflow sales, value sales, ROI based selling, and creation of solution proposals

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $95,000 - $100,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
