Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

As a Quality Inspector, you will spend almost 100% of your time on the production floor, using computers alongside the lines to document all data and non-conformances. You are responsible for catching any products that are out of spec/non-conformance and escalating those to the QA Lead on staff. Regular duties include walking the lines, setting up quality equipment, verifying all is working correctly at the start of each shift, and conducting visual inspections of the products to ensure they have clear labels, bar codes, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and demonstrate safe work practices while working.

  • Monitor the statistical process control (SPC) software suite called Gainseeker.

  • Monitor, measure, and document given line processes to ensure conformance to product Master specifications.

  • Examine and document packaging components and finished product assembly for conformance to product Master specifications.

  • Program, calibrate, and assist in the setup of Hi-Speed check weighers, Videojet, and Marsh coders.

  • Program and monitor the Automated Inventory Management system for identifying and tracking finished production.

  • Place non-conforming product on hold for disposition by the QC Manager.

  • Pull product retain samples.

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a regulated environment or Quality Control setting.

  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, conversions) to quickly make determinations based on line.

  • Strong attention to detail to catch any out of spec products.

  • Interest in learning and taking on new responsibilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma minimum with experience or Associates in lab-related discipline.

  • Interest in the industry as a whole.

  • Experience in a restaurant or similar setting can be beneficial.

  • Pride in work, ensuring small details and labels are correct.

Work Environment

You will spend almost 100% of your time in the plant. Most of your workday will be spent on your feet conducting inspections. Candidates will learn about pesticide and home protection manufacturing within crop science. This role offers an opportunity for growth and promotion within the organization.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $21.75
