Actalent Microbiologist II in St. Louis, Missouri
Description
Responsible for performing required microbiological testing of compounded sterile preparations (CSP) in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform routine preparation of samples and reagents used for testing analysis
• Schedule samples based on priority
• Perform standard testing of samples using various methods and instruments that can include but not limited to Particulate Matter Testing, Sterility Testing, Endotoxin Testing, Container Closure Testing, Proficiency Testing, and Sample Validations
• Analyze results of testing to identify concerns or issues and discuss with supervisor as needed
• Report and document results following established procedures
• Assist in writing Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
• Perform peer technical review for test results

Additional Skills & Qualifications
BS Degree within science related field and at least 1 year of industry microbiology experience from pharmaceutical or medical device industry
Must have: 1 year minimum of bioburden/endotoxin testing (USP 61/62 and 85) + clean room/aseptic experience (pharmaceutical/medical device aseptic environment)
Nice to have: Sterility testing (USP 71) experience
Must have experience with USP compendial testing in a FDA/GMP regulated facility

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
