YOUR ROLE

The Electrical Reliability/Data Systems Manager will play a critical role in supporting the St. Louis Henkel facility. This position is a unique combination of managing the electrical hourly group, process electrical reliability, engineering, IT, and OT. The role will lead controls and electrical projects, troubleshoot issues across the facilities, and oversee the design of control systems, with a focus on aligning with Henkel's Industry 4.0 initiatives.

  • Define the scope of controls/engineering projects and services, balancing project management and technical execution.

  • Support electrical engineering projects from the design phase through installation and implementation, ensuring integration of IT and OT systems.

  • Approve and/or author all electrical and controls technical documents.

  • Collaborate with contractors, department managers, and maintenance staff to troubleshoot and optimize processes.

  • Conduct cost comparison studies and recommend effective methods to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Regularly update department managers and stakeholders on project status.

  • Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures.

  • Manage the health and strategy of the Industrial Operations Network.

  • Drive progress in connectivity, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 efforts at both facilities.

  • Work closely with the IT group to ensure proper integration and management of IT systems.

  • Become familiar with critical IT systems to aid the IT group with correcting issues.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, IT, and operations, to implement and support Industry 4.0 technologies

  • Ensure the reliability and security of automation systems, including network and data communication systems.

YOUR SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in controls/automation engineering, with strong project management skills required.

  • Experience managing hourly technicians required. Union management skills are a plus.

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams, including budgeting and scheduling.

  • Proficiency in writing technical manuals and documentation.

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, PLC Ladder Logic, Ethernet communication, networking, and various software tools.

  • Must have strong background in instrumentation, basic industrial electrical knowledge

  • Strong understanding of IT/OT convergence and experience with Industry 4.0 technologies

  • Have a basic understanding of using SAP for CMMS software.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to improve production systems and enhance personnel safety.

  • Willingness to support off-hours downtime events as needed.

  • Experience in a high-volume, 24/7 factory environment.

  • Must have a safety conscious mind for electrical, mechanical and chemical hazards.

  • Self-starter and willingness to be flexible with other maintenance teams.

  • Design maintenance strategies, procedures, and work plans.

  • Work with planning and storeroom to ensure all necessary parts are ordered and ready for jobs when needed.

The salary for this role is $95,000.00 - $125,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
