Cartographic Analyst - Journeyman
Locations: Springfield, VA & St. Louis, MO

Role Description
We are presently identifying candidates for our client for the following position: Cartographic Analyst - Journeyman. The Cartographic Analyst shall acquire, analyze, evaluate, extract and compile geospatial information as feature (point, line, or area) and terrain data from selected source materials, utilizing photogrammetric techniques to achieve an accurate cartographic representation of a specific area at a specific scale (or level of detail) for digital data and geospatial data from imagery, intelligence database, and various ancillary sources in support of national security goals and strategies. The cartographer shall utilize an understanding of geography, remote sensing, spatial analysis, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), intelligence issues, and social and physical sciences to create information, characterize events, and discover relationships and trends. They attribute, exploit, extract, format, manipulate, position, and symbolize geospatial information. They ensure the quality, accuracy, and currency of geospatial information produced in-house or in cooperation with Contractors and national and international co-producers for national, military, and civil partners.
Minimum Qualifications
U.S. Citizen.
Active Top-Secret/SCI security clearance at time of application and willingness to complete a CI poly upon request.
Three to ten (3-10) years relevant experience with High School diploma and specialized training.
Bachelor's degree in related field can be included for up to 4 years of experience.
Master's degree in related field can be included for an additional two years of experience.
Experience with cartographic finishing as well as feature data extraction, manipulation, and attribution
Experience with geospatial database management
Proficiency with ArcGIS and its extensions or knowledgeable with other commonly used ELT software such as Socet-Set or Remote View
Understanding of various NGA products such as CIBI, TLMs, MGCP, MDGs, DTED, SRTM, and NTM
Familiarity with various data conversion tools such as FME, ESRI extract, transform, and load (ETL) or similar
Experience with combining digital cartography, GIS, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and digital data formats
Knowledge of Map finishing automation tools
Familiarity with data quality control tools such as GAIT and ArcGIS Data Reviewer
Understanding of the geospatial data multi-user enterprise environment
Experience with preparing, maintaining, and presenting intelligence displays, reports, and briefings
Ability to work independently with minimal management in a high tempo, high stress environment that requires multitasking
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates should have completed Formal/Advanced Military IA Training (Tech School, Advanced Individual Training, A School, or other MOS/AFSC/Rate granting equivalent.

Work Environment
Work is within a team environment and will be conducted on site in Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO.
