Description We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in the heart of St. Louis, Missouri. Working within the finance sector, you will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health of our organization by accurately handling customer payments and credit applications. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting and requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and software.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and send out invoices and account statements to customers

• Conduct thorough account research and analysis to ensure accuracy

• Process cash receipts and customer payments in a timely manner

• Complete reconciliations and balance general ledger accounts

• Swiftly and accurately resolve any discrepancies or inaccuracies in accounts

• Follow established procedures for processing receipts and cash

• Prepare reports regularly delineating accounts receivable status

• Participate in and contribute to team meetings and continuous improvement activities

• Assist with monthly closing procedures and reports

• Maintain and update the customer account database, including data entry and adjustment

• Work closely with the sales and customer service departments to enhance client satisfaction and reduce the occurrence of late payments

• Monitor and collect debts, and negotiate with clients in non-payment cases. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC)

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiar with Billing Functions

• Ability to handle Cash Activity

• Experience with Check Processing.
