SAP DevOps Engineer Server Automation (f/m/d) BMC/Linux/Scripting in St. Leon-Rot, Germany

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer- Server Automation (f/m/d) BMC/Linux/Scripting. As an expert you are responsible for the designing, architecting and deploying global server automation solutions to meet business requirements. Furthermore you will be in charge and able to solve complex server and operating system related issues and finally provide ongoing server administration support as required.
What you will do:
Strong OS and scripting knowledge to develop and maintain content
Documenting solution configurations, operating run books, and training manuals
Training operations staff on the day-to-day operational support activities related to the server automation solution
Regularly consulting with the IT teams and lines of businesses with regards to the server automation solution
Capacity and performance management, short and long-term capacity planning in collaboration
Maintaining regular alignment with customers and service providers, technical experts and customers
Identifying opportunities to optimize operations and consolidation of services
What you bring:
Strong BMC Truesight Server Automation (BladeLogic) experience and knowledge
Proficiency experience in script programming (e.g. Shell, Perl, Python, etc.) and with server automation tools
Advanced technical background of Linux based server operating systems
Practical experience with OS operations, upgrades and scripting
Good understanding of IT security, OS hardening
Experience in designing, architecting, deploying and managing of BMC tools (TSSA, Discovery)
Deep knowledge in troubleshooting complex problems, performance analysis and tuning
Strong understanding of technologies, dependencies and management of complex server environments
Fluent English and German (spoken and written)

The Asset Discovery & Server Automation (ADSA) team is part of the Security organization of Global Cloud Infrastructure & Delivery (GCID) and aims to provide complete asset transparency across the SAP landscape by ensuring system status reporting and asset discovery enhancing security posture and operational efficiency.
We centralize, deliver, and maintain comprehensive services around server automation, remediation, and reporting. This includes asset discovery and verification, security-related reporting and compliance enforcement, ensuring robust operations and ongoing improvements in security and asset management.
