What we do

Everyone at SAP relies on computing engines that run smoothly around the clock. Several teams at SAP are devoted to keeping these in perfect shape and we are one of them. We provision and operate circa 1000 virtual servers on internal and external cloud environments. Most of our day-to-day business is dedicated to providing a reliable, secure, and state-of-the-art environment for our users. Having to deal with so many servers require us to rely heavily on specialized tools and programs to help us on the way most of which we developed ourselves. Of course, we need to adapt this environment to ever changing requirements - be it compliance, security or customer driven - as well as improve our day-to-day business.

The Role

As a Developer (Associate) (f/m/d) you will safeguard our internal customers business by providing a resilient, efficient, and secure infrastructure on which to run their processes.

It is your task to operate a complex system landscape in different hyperscaler environments and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux for Enterprise, ). To achieve the next level of automated operations you will work with state-of-the-art tools and development environments, integrate them into existing processes and roll your developments out to our stakeholder community. Your development activities will be focused on infrastructure related tasks and challenges.

You are known for your methodical and independent working mode always aiming for collaboration with your colleagues. You are enthusiastic about solving complex topics. You are curious and willing to keep expanding your skills. If this applies to you, you will fit perfectly into the team.

Further requirements are:

  • Profound knowledge of at least one relevant operating system: Linux or Windows Server

  • Working knowledge of hyperscalers and network technologies. Skills in infrastructure related automation, e.g. Ansible, Terraform

  • Programming skills, with advanced knowledge of at least one language (GoLang, Python, ABAP basic development or equivalents)

  • Very good German and English skills

  • 1 year of professional experience
