Facility: BayCare Health System, Chemistry-SJH

Location: St Joseph's Main and Children's

Status: Part Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 10:30PM - 7:00AM

Weekend Work: Every Other

On Call: No

Responsibilities - Lab Medical Asst III:

• Responsible for collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing.

• Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens, referring specimens to outside laboratories, interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests, performance of phlebotomy procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Credentials:

• Required: Related BayCare Course

• Or, Medical Technologist in the State of Florida

• Or, Medical Technologist - Eligible to obtain

• Required: 6 months - Phlebotomy

• Required: 6 months - Laboratory Related

Education:

• Required - High School or Equivalent

• Or, Bachelors in related field in lieu of experience
