The team you will be a part of

As a Project leader Mgr for Cooking GPO you’ll be responsible for leading the Cross functional team on the delivery of new cooking product launches. Projects will figure in the top 20 of the company and include monthly report outs to Senior Leadership

This role in summary

As a project leader you’ll be accountable for the delivery of the project KPI. In the role you’ll also champion WPD and deploy it to the team. You’ll facilitate trade offs, focus the team on key priorities and remove barriers for them to complete their deliverables. Specifically for this role we’ll also interface with Design to value reporting on initiatives affecting Cooking. The position is located in Edgewater tech center in St Joseph MI and the projects all have NAR as their selling region. Traveling is required as project events take place in manufacturing sites in Cleveland TN and Tulsa OK. The team is composed of other Project leaders and capital planners.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Pick up projects from the P2 cycle, organize the assigned team and lead them to a successful delivery

  • Organize, report and propel forward the DTV projects in 2025

  • Integrate the cross functional schedule and track the team deliveries to meet it

  • Integrate the business case inputs, understand what each function brings to it and drive it to maximize company profitability

  • Report out monthly the status of the project and manage escalation and AndOn

  • Remove barriers for the team to be able to properly execute their tasks

  • Focus the team on the right priorities and facilitate trade off discussions

  • Deploy WPD in the projects and guide the project team.

  • Travel 5-10% (1-2 per year)

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

  • 7+ years of experience in whirlpool in roles related to product development

Preferred skills and experiences

  • PMP certification

  • Proven track record on whirlpool product delivery through WPD.

  • Experience in Total Product Cost Management.

  • Understanding of how a business case works at whirlpool. Inputs, Outputs, responsibilities.

  • Experience with different schedule techniques, Waterfall, Agile, Critical Chain

  • Expert communication skills. Tailor message to the audience, listen, process and multiply

  • Experience with cooking products is preferred.
