*Position Summary: *

This new position is being created because the LECO Executive team recognizes that our future success and growth will depend on our ability to continue to enhance our Global Communications and Collaboration. The role is a pivotal part of our growth and requires a leader who can work across departments and has the experience and knowledge related to the job functions. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, a strategic thinker, and a passionate event planner with a knack for building relationships and fostering a sense of community across diverse cultures.

*Position Responsibilities: *

  • Provides consistent and timely information to employees through various communications programs. 
  • Responsible for working across the organization at the Executive/Management level to help develop new ideas/support existing strategies for implementing internal communications and plans. 
  • Working closely with HR will help support the internal marketing messaging to employees, for example...communicating to the employees about LECO's Vision, Mission, and Core values. 
  • This role will involve implementing and managing a plan to ensure our values for Mission and Vision are integrated Globally across all employee's values. Globally initiated and measurable.
  • Manages internal events and activities with the support of committees/marketing resources.  i.e., Picnic, Wellness program, 5K, and other Charitable events and supports the President or Board members for planning or implementation, etc. 
  • Manage the company Intranet site and ensure employee engagement.
  • Responsible for LECO Line, Ignite, and Wellness Newsletter.   
  • Defines new areas of improvement (Survey + Feedback Sessions) and provides new ideas for enhanced Communication & Collaboration.
  • Responsible for aligning all Global Brand use and standards. 
  • This role has the potential for direct reports and will require collaboration with international personnel.   

     

*Position Requirements: *

  • Proven experience in internal communications and event planning, preferably in a corporate setting with international exposure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication styles for different cultures.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with experience managing projects involving international stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, considering different time zones and cultural nuances.
  • Creativity and a passion for creating engaging experiences for diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with employees at all levels, including those from different cultural backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and various communication and event planning tools.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a small team is preferred. 
  • Experience working with international teams and/or in a global organization is highly desirable.
