Driver/Traffic Control - Early 4-7am Start Time, plus Overtime Potential!

  • $21/hr to start, $22/hr with CDL-B licensure
  • Full-Time - Start times may be between 3-7am (potential overtime - weekends)

Are you an energetic, organized, and self-motivated person? Then we want you to join our team of drivers! You will have responsibility for setting, re-setting, and taking down temporary signs and equipment in a road construction environment. You will also work in our shop maintaining/organizing equipment. We want you to join our Utah Barricade family!

QUALIFICATIONS include:

  • Team Player: Ability and desire to work with others across the company, providing exceptional service to our employees and customers, and helping the company grow.
  • Organizational Skills: Prioritize, organize and complete multiple and ongoing work duties with high-quality results and within specified deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively coordinate work with dispatch, sales, and other TCM drivers, ensuring the highest levels of safety, quality, and customer service during the process
  • Self-Motivation: Work independently to accomplish safety and service objectives in a timely and professional manner.
  • Traffic Control Maintenance (TCM) Certification: Preferred, but are willing to train and put through the certification process
  • Traffic Control Experience: Preferred, but not necessary

REQUIREMENTS include:

  • Clean driving record, valid Utah Driver's license.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check per DOT requirements
  • Ability to take orders from supervisors and dispatch
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work overnight and on weekends if the project requires
  • Physically fit, ability to move and lift 75 lbs. suitable mental endurance
  • Knowledge and experience driving heavy utility trucks, pulling and backing small tandem trailers, forklifts, and basic mechanical knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Accurate execution of Traffic Control Plans (TCP)
  • Ensuring the types/amounts of equipment and materials are prepared, according to work orders
  • Oversee repair and maintenance of equipment, vehicles, and products
  • Build, strengthen and maintain current client relationships
  • Ensure exceptional customer service for all clients via phone and in person
  • Misc support and work/project assignments
  • On-Call rotation with team members (Typically 1 week every 6-12 weeks)

Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. MVR will also be pulled for driving positions.
