Shift Details: FT– 40 hours/week, M-F (days), availability on some weekends/evenings

Compensation: $90,000-98,0000 per year

Location: Bar None Residential Services - Anoka, MN

About the job:

The Program Director oversees at least two service lines, including and not limited to, all residential services on the Bar None campus. Accountable for a minimum of 50 employee FTE’s. Responsible for campus operations leadership and business acumen that will enhance current programming as well as support innovation for the design and implementation of future service lines.

Essentials:

  • Develop and maintain sound objectives for the programs that relate to the program philosophy and/or needs.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership by building rapport and trust with team members and site admin leaders.

  • Provide operations management related to program expansion, census forecasts, safety of physical plant, employee recruiting, terminating, staffing ratios, and staff schedules.

  • In collaboration with YRS Division Director, develop and maintain internal budgets for programs and staffing.

  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit in exploring new program models that will meet a community need and financially benefit VOA.

  • Review and oversee pertinent resident interventions and personnel concerns through weekly administrative meetings.

  • Attending unusual or special occurrences on a 24 hour/7 day a week basis.

  • Participate in the Mental Health Professional on-call rotation.

  • Provide clinical supervision to staff including student learners and clinical trainees where applicable.

Decision Making Authority/Self-Initiative:

  • Authority to formulate, affect, interpret, or implement management policy/procedure.

  • Compares and evaluates possible courses of conduct and makes decisions after the various possibilities have been considered.

  • Authority to negotiate and bind the company on significant matters.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Qualified as a fully licensed Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT) in the State of Minnesota

  • Three years of administrative and management experience in mental health, social services or a related area.

  • Five years of clinical experience providing mental health services to children, youth and families.

  • Must be a MN board-approved clinical supervisor OR must be eligible to be a board-approved supervisor within 6 months of hire.

  • Must meet standards for Program Director as established by the Minnesota Department of Human Services, Rule 2960, Licensing Requirements.
