LCI-Lawinger Consulting Principal Mechanical Engineer in St. Cloud, Minnesota
Our Client is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead projects. This is a direct hire role / hybrid.
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you’ll lead a path of innovation, ingenuity, and technical excellence. Your key responsibilities will include:
Overseeing all technical aspects of projects, collaborating with diverse teams to develop designs that not only meet but exceed customer expectations, ensuring our products remain competitive and cutting-edge.
Leading mechanical design and analysis efforts, delving into the complexities of machine structures, gearboxes, rails, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics to engineer groundbreaking solutions.
Managing project timelines, product costs, budgets, and other critical metrics with precision, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and objectives.
Fostering a collaborative and innovative environment through well-structured concept and design reviews, actively engaging with stakeholders to drive collective creativity.
Providing expert support to customer service, field installation, and sales teams, swiftly addressing and resolving any customer issues that arise.
To excel as our Principal Mechanical Engineer, you’ll need:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
At least 10 years of experience in design and engineering, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
Proficiency in analysis and root cause investigation tools, including simulations, FEA, free-body diagrams, DFMEA, and 8D methodologies (preferred).
Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with CNC or robotic equipment design (preferred).
