Summary

As a leader in the transportation industry, ATS uses a heavily modified 3rd party transportation industry solution for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) called Load Master Enterprise (LME). This position is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing this ERP system to meet the evolving needs of the organization. This role includes managing the staff, budget, roadmap, operations, support, and projects of the ERP ecosystem. The ability to effectively manage a diverse team, collaborate with business partners, and deliver on a strategy that contributes to ATS’s stated growth initiatives, are critical success factors.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related technical discipline required.

  • 5+ years of experience leading or mentoring staff involved with project management, application development, and support of a heavily modified, 3rd party, large scale ERP system within an organization.

  • Demonstrated project management skills working in both a ticket based and bundled project environment.

  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills; able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Able to gather and analyze information and develop alternative solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives, manage and implement change, and manage budgets.

  • Outstanding coordination, facilitation, consultation, and conflict resolutions skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in team building and collaboration with business leaders, 3rd parties, and internal staff.

  • Ability to perform effectively with guidance/limited assistance from functional leadership.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to establish trust and rapport with all levels of staff and other IT Leaders. Able to relate effectively to diverse cultures.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook. Able to learn company specific programs.

  • Excellent communication skills (written, listening and verbal).

  • Proven management capabilities in a fast-paced, changing, and growing environment. Demonstrated potential for growth a plus.

  • Must demonstrate a proactive commitment to ATS corporate values and the success of all staff.

  • Willing and able to travel infrequently, including overnight travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the staff, budget, roadmap, projects, processes, and support activities related to ATS’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, while balancing organizational needs.

  • Participate in all major strategy, operational, and project related decisions for the LME ecosystem as required.

  • Direct and validate system documentation at all stages of development and support for the ERP system.

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts for on-going efficiency and effectiveness within own department and across ATS.

  • Identify and manage gaps, ensuring accurate documentation of systems and resiliency and redundancy is maintained.

  • Create a department culture of “business process first, technology second” mentality ensuring business process consulting is woven into the fabric of projects.

  • Collaborate with internal partners to assist with prioritization and connecting/communicating with the ATS business sponsors

  • Collaborating with the Application Portfolio team, oversee installation of upgrades and patches to maintain applications for life cycle at acceptable levels.

  • Continuously seek to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity standards by creating, modernizing, and/or revising company processes, tools, and resources, (i.e., forms, procedures, technologies, and strategies).

  • Partner with Human Resources in the recruiting, interviewing, selection, on-boarding, and training of new employees to create a positive candidate experience.

  • Plan, delegate, organize and manage the workflow of staff members to ensure high performance.

  • Provide effective employee performance management utilizing SMART goals, constructive feedback, coaching for improvement, and progressive discipline.

  • Design and implement on-going training for current employees; recommend development plan priorities for individual employees of the team and monitor progress against those priorities.

  • Adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Demonstrates, by their daily actions, ATS Mission, Vision, and Values in a consistent, effective, and reliable manner.

  • Complete work responsibilities outside of normal business hours as needed and infrequent travel may be required.
