TYPE OF POSITION: Non-Represented Exempt Position 260-day full-time contract Hours may vary based on program needs REPORTS TO: Human Resources Supervisor SUPERVISION: None QUALIFICATIONS: Required BA or BS degree in Human Resources administration or related field 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally in school district or public sector This position requires the ability to travel between multiple district sites and requires a valid Minnesota drivers license Knowledge Knowledge of HRIS systems and Applicant/Recruitment software systems as well as Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google and similar software platforms Ability to learn and use new software programs Knowledge of labor and workforce trends Ability to interpret employment legislation, policies and agreements Skills Excellent organization and project management skills Strong technology skills with ability to maximize the efficient use of electronic systems for recruitment, onboarding and employee data management and analysis Skill in team building and collaboration with a demonstrated ability to involve others in work and to inform others of processes, decisions and events Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of school administration, employee groups and the general public, both verbal and written Ability to work effectively with diverse groups within the school district and community Ability to effectively present information to small and large groups and provide training to customers and employees of the organization Ability to read and interpret labor contracts, procedure manuals, university transcripts and instructions Ability to prepare professional reports, presentations and correspondence POSITION SUMMARY: The Recruitment and Retention Coordinator will develop and support a strategic approach to attracting, identifying, and selecting high performing employees to support the School District in effectively meeting its staffing needs in a dynamic workforce climate. This position will coordinate all recruitment and selection efforts for the district and will develop and maintain data systems related to the district's recruitment and retention efforts with a particular focus on non-licensed staff ANNAUL SALARY: $60,000.00 ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Develop and maintain processes, structures, and systems for the recruitment, selection and onboarding of employees Facilitates the recruitment and selection process for all district staff positions to assure all open positions are filled timely and with district's hiring standard and protocols. Advises hiring managers to facilitate recruitment and selection best practices. Facilitates hiring teams, as needed Coordinates recruitment and selection processes utilizing industry best practices with a focus on process digitization and efficiency Manages the postings of all District positions on applicant software according to requirements established by district guidelines or negotiated agreements Provides a high quality experience for every candidate from application stage to onboarding Develops and administers district's interview screening tools and trains hiring teams on how to use them effectively in collobration with the Human Resources Supervisor Manages District applicant software (Applitrack) and stays abreast of software enhancements Provides expertise and support for hiring managers and secretaries on the use of applicant software; Keeps them informed of and provides training on software enhancements Executes the use of all relevant recruitment strategies (e.g. job boards, social media, job fairs, college and university connections, etc.) for recruitment of quality candidates Maintains current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, Veterans Preferance Act, and other state and federal requirements Performs searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using AppliTrack computer dat base, networking, internet recruiting resources, media, recruiting firms, and employee referrals Conducts reference checks and reviews and evaluates applicant qualifications or eligibility for specified licensing, according to established guidelines and designated licensing codes Contacts applicants to inform them of employment possibilities, consideration, and selection Performs in-depth research, gather facts, and uses extensive and effective analytical and evaluative methods to accurately assess information and evaluate trends in recruitment, retention, and compensation Other duties as assigned PHYSICAL FACTORS: Frequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, and seeing All Employees of Saint Cloud School District 742 are responsible to support District goals, to work collaboratively and respectfully with diverse populations of staff, students and parents and to model and promote a welcoming working and learning environment.
