Boyd Gaming BARTENDER-NIGHTCLUB in St. Charles, Missouri
What would I be doing?
The Bartender is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. The Bartender is also responsible for providing beverage service to guests and cocktail servers while providing excellent customer relations.
Responsibilities
Pours drinks according to established recipes; maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Responsible for knowing the types, glasses and brand names of the products we offer. Should have extensive knowledge of product to enhance the selection process
Responsible for understanding the operation of all soda, juice and liquor guns.
Responsible for the handling of Company funds through cash transactions on the Computer System.
Follow all cash handling procedures as listed in the Food & Beverage Manual.
Inform the immediate supervisor of any product shortages.
Always conduct yourself in a manner that reflects a positive, professional image for the company practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so.
Handle the chemicals for the glass washing machine in a safe manner.
Responsible and accountable for all cash variances +/- $10.00.
Responsible for the cleanliness of your work station/bar.
Must maintain a positive relationship with the service staff.
Keep bar completely stocked for next shift.
Responsible for informing beverage manager on duty of any problems.
Card every guest that appears under the age of 30.
Must Enjoy working in a high pace, high volume environment
Must have a friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to multi task
Must display good guest service.
This position operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of employees.
Ability to observe and direct actions of bar attendants and to inspect and maintain areas for which responsible.
Ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make change.
Ability to review and comprehend drink recipes and other necessary documentation.
Ability to pour cocktails and use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, cash register and bar equipment.
Ability to effectively and efficiently move around bar area.
Ability to retrieve supplies and maintain a clean working area.
Ability to maneuver and lift up to 10 pounds in order to open and close bar, obtain all supplies necessary for mixing cocktails, and clean and maintain areas for which responsible.

What are we looking for?
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
Knowledge and ability to mix a wide variety of drinks.
Excellent customer service skills.
Knowledge of the operation of all bar equipment.
Ability to direct cocktail servers.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):
Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers and gaming license within assigned state of employment and other jurisdictions
Must successfully pass background check
Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
Must be 21 years of age
