We are looking to hire a Senior Software Development Consultant to join Microsoft Federal.

As a Senior Software Development Consultant , you will own, troubleshoot and solve customer technical issues. Responsibilities

Join our Cloud Engineering team as an individual contributor to build in-house solutions and applications for Microsoft Federal. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge software that meets the unique needs of our federal clients, while articulating value propositions for strategic Microsoft products and services.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Kubernetes microservices using Node.js / Python / C#.

  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with Azure services, including Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, and Redis .

  • Build event-driven architectures using message queuing technologies (e.g., Azure Service Bus) to manage transfer states and enable efficient system decoupling.

  • Build robust logging and monitoring systems, leveraging tools like Application Insights and Log Analytics.

  • Advanced storage patterns and practices to efficiently manage high concurrency transfers.

  • Design and develop intuitive, user-friendly interfaces using React to enhance user experience across a modern, cloud-native web platform.

  • Design, implement, and optimize data models and queries in Azure Cosmos DB , ensuring efficient storage, high performance, and scalability for large-scale, concurrent data operations.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field AND 3+ years leadership experience in relevant area of business

o OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government *Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance. *   Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

Cloud Screening:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years leadership experience in relevant area of business.

  • Technical certifications based on domain/service line (e.g., Azure, Security, Dynamics ).

  • Delivery Management certification (e.g., Scrum, Agile, Change Management, Project Management).

  • Proficiency with Bicep for Azure infrastructure as code.

  • Hands-on experience deploying, managing, and scaling applications with Kubernetes .

  • Solid understanding of Microservice Architecture and related Design Patterns .

  • Experience in developing and maintaining applications using Node.js / Python / C#.

  • Skilled in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub DevOps .

  • Familiarity with containerization and managing Docker containers.

  • Knowledge of Azure Graph API for managing Azure resources .

  • Experience implementing and managing security measures with Windows Defender or similar tools .

Technology Consulting IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,800 - $189,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,200 - $199,400 per year.
