HVAC Technician

ATI has a current need for full-timeHVAC Technicians.ATI is seeking highly motivated, qualified, and experienced HVAC Technicians with an active TOP SECRET clearance. Positions required to maintain and repair HVAC equipment throughout a new facility located in Springfield, Virginia.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Adding refrigerant to or removing refrigerant from equipment;
  • Installing and troubleshooting heating and cooling systems;
  • Cutting, welding, soldering, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures;
  • Replacing component and parts (pumps, pipes, fans, etc.);
  • Using power and hand tools safely to support the facilities;
  • Maintaining air and water treatment systems;
  • Inspecting refrigerant systems for leaks;
  • Reading blueprints and schematics, utility plans, mechanical drawings, and electrical and wiring diagrams; and
  • Entering data into a Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum TOP SECRET Clearance required - additional security clearance investigation upon hire may also be required
  • Journeyman HVAC or Master HVAC license;
  • EPA Universal certification;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Must demonstrate proficiency with the following:
    • Familiarity with building codes, ordinances and regulations of state and local authorities pertaining to HVAC; and
    • Proficiency with ASHRAE standards to include ASHRAE 55 -Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Occupancy, ASHRAE 62.1 - Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality, and ASHRAE 180 - Standard Practice for Inspection and Maintenance of Commercial Building HVAC Systems.

Job Type:Full-time

Pay Rate:$47.39 - $56.50/hour depending on role, experience, and benefits selected

Location: Springfield, VA

Working Hours:Normal Work Hours - Monday - Friday (anticipate 40 per week).
